A beautiful new resident to the UK!
This lovely 1959 de Havilland Beaver was originally fitted with floats flying around the cold Alaskan Lakes. On Saturday 21st August 2021 the aircraft crashed during a water landing on a lake in Kodiak, flipping the aircraft on the water.
It was then repaired without the floats and eventually purchased by an owner in the United Kingdom.
The original plan was to fly the Beaver all the way to the UK but the owners ran out of time to install a ferry tank in time for the North Atlantic crossing season in a Single Piston. So she was picked up from Seattle in October 2025 and flown across the USA, through Idaho, Utah and Arizona arriving into Tampa, Florida Using 700 US Gallons of Avgas over 28 Hours on the 3200 Mile trip...almost 100 litres an hour!
The aircraft arrived at it's new home of Turweston in the UK on 24th January 2026 having been rebuilt in Sywell.
