As safe as flying is, unfortunately there will always be accidents. During the 10 + years of photographing aircraft with a decent camera, inevitably i've photographed quite a few aircraft that have gone on to be involved in an accident...

Sustained serious damage whilst parked in a hangar at Lake Charles-Chennault International Airport, Louisiana during a hurricane. Future not decided but looks to be a write-off!
30th September 2020 - Lockheed KC-130J Hercules - 166765 - USMC
Collided during a refuelling mission with an F35 whilst operating out of El Centro. The F35 crashed whilst the KC-130J lost the props on engines 3 and 4 and the flight ended in a forced landing in a field damaging the other wing's engines.

Crashed while engaged in a search and rescue mission near the island of Aruba in the Caribbean, killing two crew and seriously injuring the other two...

Operated over the North Sea as 'CHOSEN 4', part of a 4-ship when it crashed into the sea. The pilot, 1st Lt. Kenneth "Kage" Allen sadly died.
