Class 60 - 60028 - DCRail

60028 has always avoided me, so despite heavy rain forecast all day, I was adamant I was going to snap it no matter how heavy the rain was!
Luckily a brief dry and even bright spell found me on the approach to Hawkeridge Junction having made a quick location change from Trowbridge due to a JCB wanting to tear up where I was standing!
The incoming working was 80 minutes late entering Bristol Freightliner, due to a certain someone I know from the aviation side of the hobby not turning up to unlock the gate so it done well to be only 6 minutes late for it's brief stop at Heywood Jn.

This month has seen a new start-up for DCRail working on behalf of Cappagh Group of Companies.
A new weekly service has seen aggregate arrive into London and straight out to Cappagh customers in the area.
Each train conveys upwards of 1800 tonnes of material and removes around 75 long distance lorry movements reducing the carbon footprint of the whole supply chain.

This new once weekly flow from Bristol Freightliner serves the nearby Stancombe quarry in Flax Bourton...
